One Small Step For Man One Giant Leap For Consumers

It seems that either I've been living under a rock for the past two years or that crowdsourcing is just normal slash not that exciting. It would seem to me the logical thing to get people together and share ideas and then allow that idea to explode by using the internet to get the product well known. I'm not saying it isn't a great thing, just I think it is as amazing as everyone finds it to be. Think of it as something that would happened regardless of someone thinking about it or not. Better yet it does just happen whether think of it or if we don't.

On another note and what I find more interesting is the people that come up with this one idea and that crowdsourcing is a myth and doesn't really happen. I guess I understand what they are saying but without the helping hand of these other people to get the product out their or started then the product really wouldn't happen. My question too you who all read this is do you think a product could make it without crowdsourcing these days or do you think it can be done the old fashion way. By which I mean just advertising and word of mouth which is quote on quote crowdsourcing but was never called it back then which is why I don't find it that amazing.

Too Many Friends?

After reading "Six Degrees of Lois Weisberg"  and " Improving Your Ability to Share and Connect( Mark Zuckerberg on the Facebook Blog)" I'm at the conclusion that maybe there is such a thing as too many friends. When does it stop, and more importantly how are we suppose to keep track of all these things. Yes I know there's Facebook and a hundred other things, but what I mean is doesn't become to much. I don't want to know all of these people, yes it great for jobs and contacts but its hard enough to get to know five people now we must know thousands. I'm saying that contacts and being informed isn't good. Its just these modes of interacting can get a little intimidating an confusing to say the least. As much as I love the "small world" idea some times I like it to still be a big world out there to explore without someone knowing me from one of my friends or other aquantinces.

I am excited to write a blog but for this first one I'll write about how nervous I am and that I will probably have a hard time getting my thoughts down. I'll ask you guys to be critical of my posts but not to be to harsh but I would love to all hear your own thoughts. I also hope to share some interesting insight on different topics that will lead to interesting arguments. Well thats it hope to hear from you on my next blog.

“On my honor, all posts on this blog are my own”
